BLUFFTON—As part of the recent healing Mass in honor of the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Msgr. Ronald R. Cellini and Father Raphael Ghattas, pastor and parochial vicar of St. Gregory the Great Church, ministered the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Msgr. Cellini is chaplain of the Bluffton region of the Order of Malta.

Members of the Order, including couples such as the Krygiels, Arellanos and Molinaros, distributed bottles of holy water from the Grotto of Massabielle in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, France, to every person who received an anointing.

Diana Shertenlieb, another member present, said it was a great joy to be able “to give this gift to our people who are suffering from illnesses.”

She added that the evening ended with a dinner gathering at a local restaurant, and based on the success of the Mass, the Order is planning for it to become an annual event.
