Priest Assignments for March and April 2023

Bishop Jacques Fabre-Jeune, CS, has made the following priest assignments: 

Effective March 9

Rev. Gregory B. Wilson is now rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Charleston.

Rev. Richard C. Wilson is now pastor of St. Mary Help of Christians Church in Aiken.

Rev. J. Antonydas Gaspar is now administrator of Our Lady of Peace Church in North Augusta.

Rev. Francis Bakongo Mfesao, CICM, is now parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Church on Johns Island.

Rev. Richard C. Wilson is now the Aiken Dean in addition to his assignment as pastor of St. Mary Help of Christians in Aiken.

Rev. Adilso Coelho, CO, is now chaplain for Brazilian Ministry for the Diocese of Charleston, in addition to his assignment as pastor of Divine Savior Church in York.

Effective April 3

Rev. Msgr. D. Anthony Droze, VG, will continue as pastor of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Charleston and will conduct pastoral work outside the Pastoral Center as vicar general. His role will specifically address the needs of our priests, parishes and schools.
 
Rev. Gregory B. Wilson, VG, is rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Charleston and vicar general to conduct internal work with the Pastoral Center offices and staff.
 
Rev. Msgr. Richard D. Harris will continue as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Columbia continuing to head the Office of Child and Youth Protection and the Building and Renovation Advisory Committee (BRAC) as a vicar with executive authority.
