Pilgrimage to the Eucharistic Miracles

About 650 people came to St. Paul the Apostle Church in Spartanburg to see a traveling version of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World exhibit. Blessed Carlo Acutis researched and put together the original exhibit so the world would know that Jesus is truly present — body, blood, soul and divinity — in the Eucharist. Some attendees shared with us what miracles meant the most to them.

Mary Rykman

Buenos Aires, Argentina — 2016

Mary Rykman: "This is my favorite because we met Father Alejandro Pezet in Australia in 2008." Father Pezet is "the priest who picked up the host, put it in a finger bowl of water, then in the tabernacle."

Kathy Perrosfuqua

Rome, Italy —1610

Kathy Perrosfuqua: "My favorite is the priest that was doubting the Real Presence, and it (the Eucharist) got dropped on the floor and left an imprint. God has a way of convincing people. If you have a priest who is wavering in his belief, then Bingo; God said I’ll stop that right now."

George and Mary Clements with grandson Ben

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico —1531

George and Mary Clements with their grandson, Ben: "We are familiar with her pictures in our home, and Ben is familiar with her, too."

Sonia Walton

Eten, Peru — 1649

Sonia Walton: "They love, love the Divine Child in Peru. I’m from Colombia, and I love the Divine Child. In Colombia, the child once appeared to Mother Angelica with a heart in his hand."

Ella Sietmann

Pibrac, France — 1589

Ella Sietmann: "I like the girl praying. She had to cross the river, and she didn’t get wet."

Richard Brown

Alboraya-Almacera, Spain — 1348

Richard Brown: "It is mind blowing. Tell me that’s not a miracle."

Denis and Anne Obermeyer

Poland, St. Faustina Kowalska — 20th Century

Denis and Anne Obermeyer: "My mom had a great devotion to St. Faustina. She passed away on St. Faustina's feast day, so she's special to me."
