The Ancient Order of Hibernians donated a statue of St. Joseph to the Shrine of Our Lady of South Carolina — Our Lady of Joyful Hope. The statue was placed in a grotto and was blessed at the diocese’s annual rosary celebration.
St. Mary Catholic Church in Summerton celebrated its 100th year with a Mass, reception and historical marker on Sunday. Lebanese Catholics established the Church in 1914 and many of their descendants attended the celebration.
