Ancient Order of Hibernians donate to five schools in the Midlands
COLUMBIA—Jim Lawracy, of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Richland County Division 1, presented Jacqualine Kasprowski, principal of Cardinal Newman School, with a check for $300. Each year, the Richland County division provides donations to Catholic schools in Columbia for their scholarship funds. The total this year was $1,700.
South Carolina Council of Catholic Women award funds and scholarship

CHARLESTON—Carson Goodier, a student at Charleston Catholic School, won the National Beta Club Essay award at the national convention in New Orleans, La. Over 13,000 people from across the nation attended the convention to represent their schools.
