Knights golf tournament raises funds for memorial wall

GEORGETOWN/PAWLEYS ISLAND—Knights of Columbus Assembly 3272 raised $5,200 from their 9 Hole Captain’s Choice Golf Tournaments held recently. The money was donated for the construction of a memorial wall honoring the men and women of the Georgetown County community who gave their lives in our nation’s military conflicts, starting with the Revolutionary War.

Knights elect new officers

GARDEN CITY—Knights of Columbus Council 8980 recently elected a new slate of officers and held an installation Mass on July 2. The new Grand Knight is Timothy J. McGraw, who replaces Past Grand Knight Gilbert T. Cushing. They also awarded $500 scholarships to a boy and girl who are high school seniors.
