Native American Celebration

LEXINGTON—Over 80 people joined the Diocese of Charleston’s Native American Catholics Heritage Celebration for Mass and a day of prayer and music at Corpus Christi Church on Dec. 5. The annual event is sponsored by the Office of Ethnic Ministry.

Mary Louise “Wolf Woman” Worthy, of Cherokee descent, received communion as part of the Diocese of Charleston’s Native American Catholics Heritage Celebration at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, SC. Worthy is the Vice Chief of the PAIA Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation of South Carolina.
