Want to help our retired priests?
Father Fix is one of the many retired priests in the Diocese of Charleston who, having devoted his life to Christ’s work, would like to live in community with his brother priests and somehow continue to minister to the people of God.
At the St. Joseph Residence at the Carter-May Home in Charleston, Father Fix could do just that.
This assisted-living facility will allow retired clergy to live with the companionship of their brothers in Christ, maintain their independence, or assist them in special needs and give them the opportunity to carry on their own unique priestly ministry.
Bishop Robert J. Baker has asked the faithful of South Carolina to share his concern for our retired priests by making a contribution to this special project. Your donation will help upgrade the Carter-May facility and create the St. Joseph Residence, six specially designed assisted-living suites for priests and six separate private rooms for laity, with the potential to add new independent or assisted-living facilities in the future.
Remember a priest who has touched your life and please give generously to the fund for the St. Joseph Residence at the Carter-May Home during the special collection Dec. 1-2 or mail contributions to:
